Short description Morfología | Morfometría

Espinas dorsales (total): 7; Radios blandos dorsales (total): 9-10; Espinas anales 1; Radios blandos anales: 8 - 10; Vértebra: 26. Iridescent blue or green spots surrounded with red or reddish tinge scattered on head and upper anteriormost part of body, with two posteriormost large spots positioned transversely below middle part of first dorsal fin. Yellow spots scattered on purple dorsal and caudal fins, Anal fin grey to dark grey, proximally lighter with reddish tinge without separation of color (Ref. 37940). Caudal fin somewhat lanceolate (Ref. 49948).

Found in brackish water (Ref. 43239). Specimens have been collected in inlets of river mouths where water depth is 10-50 cm at the lowest tide (Ref. 37940).
