पृष्ठीय रीढ़ (सम्पूर्ण): 2; पृष्ठीय सौफट रेज़ (सम्पूर्ण): 7-9; गुदा कांटा 1-2; ऐनल सौफट रेज़: 6 - 7. Can be distinguished by the following combination of characters: anal fin with 6 branched rays, rarely 7; scales in a lateral series 42, rarely 40-41, or 43-45; 10-11 gill rakers in the first arch; a dark lateral stripe widens from approximately the pectoral fin origin to the dorsal fin origin, forming a slightly convex segment (Ref. 84762).
