Rayons mous dorsaux (Total): 22-24; Rayons mous anaux: 24 - 26. This species is a very small Limnichthys characterized by the following: origin of anal fin preceding that of dorsal fin, dorsal-fin rays 22-24; anal-fin rays 24-26; pectoral-fin rays 13-15; a strongly developed lateral strip; dorsal saddles 11-14. the posterior 2-4 of which reach the midlateral stripe (Ref. 89960).
