Rückenflossenstacheln (insgesamt): 11; Rückenflossenweichstrahlen (insgesamt): 15-17; Afterflossenstacheln 3; Afterflossenweichstrahlen: 13 - 14. This species is distinguished by the following: fifth body stripe relatively straight, without an inflection; no spots and short dashes on the breast and lower body (Ref. 123714).

Biologie     Fachlexikon (Englisch) (z.B. epibenthic)

Juveniles and young adults are often seen in rock pools and rocky shores to 5 meters. Adults are more commonly seen near rocky reefs, but are also common in harbours, embankments, and under piers, where they occur in large groups (Ref. 123714).
