Biologie     Fachlexikon (Englisch) (z.B. epibenthic)

A short-lived species which inhabits upper and middle reaches of rivers, with shallow waters and stony bottom (Ref. 11240). Feeds mainly on aquatic invertebrates (Ref. 59043). Oviparous, with distinct pairing during breeding (Ref. 205). Matures at 1 yr of age (Ref. 59043). Is threatened due to pollution, habitat destruction and the introduction of other species (Ref. 26100, 59043).

Estimates based on models

Phylogenetic diversity index (Ref. 82804):  PD50 = 0.5000   [Uniqueness, from 0.5 = low to 2.0 = high].
Bayesian length-weight: a=0.00447 (0.00255 - 0.00782), b=3.05 (2.90 - 3.20), in cm total length, based on LWR estimates for this species & Genus-body shape (Ref. 93245).
Trophic level (Ref. 69278):  3.3   ±0.4 se; based on size and trophs of closest relatives
Generation time: 5.9 ( na - na) years. Estimated as median ln(3)/K based on 2 growth studies.
Widerstandsfähigkeit (Ref. 120179):  mittel, Verdopplung der Population dauert 1,4 - 4,4 Jahre. (tm=1; Assumed Fec < 10,000).
Fishing Vulnerability (Ref. 59153):  Moderate vulnerability (39 of 100).
