Distribution: Indo-West Pacific: Seychelles, Japan, East China Sea, Philippines, and Australia. New specimens were caught off western New Caledonia (Coriolis Bank, Lansdowne Bank, Lord Howe Ridge and Fairway Ridge) and off Mozambique (Ref. 53905).
