Occurs in the Patagonian region (Ref. 27363) and south-central zone off Chile (Ref. 56050). Feeding habits and relation to distribution of age class and sex was conducted in Coquimbo and Caldera (Punta Coloso (23º48′S,70º32'W) to Punta Molles (32º18′S,71º37′W) along slope fishing grounds off the northern coast of Chile (114-530 m). Stomach contents include mainly the squat lobsters (Pleuroncodes monodon and Cervimunida johni) and the deep-sea shrimp (Heterocarpus reedi) (Ref. 82251). |
