Comments

Year round fishing; marketed fresh (whole, fillet), frozen fillet, or cooked whole (Ref. 26550). Introduced and established in the Lerma River basin. Parasitized by Bothriocephalus acheilognathi which was introduced into the country with carp which has become widely disseminated in the country and has been found in at least 15 fish species (Ref. 48731). Recorded from the Balsas river basin (Ref. 58351). Also Ref. 84762.
