Numerous individuals were observed during a marine biodiversity assessment project in Fethiye Bay, Turkey. A specimen (2.1 cm SL, 2.6 cm TL) was collected from Kizilada 6°39'59"N, 29°02'06"E), during a scuba dive made at a depth of 23 m (18 September 2008). Maybe a Lessepsian migrant but may also have entered the Mediterranean via ballast water (Ref. 96570). Mode of introduction is unclear due to the presence of the species far from the Suez canal and its limited distribution (Ref. 94612).
