Known from the Maeklong, Chao Phraya and Mekong basins (Ref. 26336). Caught with large haul seines in the main stream of the Mekong (Ref. 12693). Museum: Mekong mainstream, CAS 96287 (between Pak Ing and Jom Paeng, about 4-5 km downstream); CAS 96286 (near Chiang Khan); CAS 96285 (ca. 4 km downriver from Pak Ing, ca. 25 km downriver from Chiang Khong) (Ref. 5515); Phrae, Phitsanulok, Kemarat (Ubon Ratchathani), Trang, Chanthaburi, Chiang Mai, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Kanchanaburi, Nakhon Sawan, Yala, Chiang Rai and Surat Thani (Ref. 37773). Also Ref. 1632, 27732, 43281.
