Found in freshened portions of seas, rivers and lakes: Alazeya, Chukoch'ya, Kolyma, Anadyr and Kamchatka (Ref. 593); including Lake Bol;shoe, Bol'shoi Shantar Island (Ref. 54510). Also found in Sakhalin (Ref. 37812). An anadromous species: the riverine freshwater form is found in the Amur River; the land-locked populations occur in some lakes; known from the Tym' River and Kolyma River (Ref. 26334).
