Known to inhabit freshwater lakes (on the Bering and Bol'shoi Shantarskie isalnds and Lake Nerpich'e in the Kamchatka Peninsula (Ref. 26334). Found on Cape Olyutorski in the western Bering Sea (Ref. 6793). Sakhalin and Kamchatka (Ref. 37812); Northern Primor'ye shelf (Ref. 45905). Used for human consumption, fresh or frozen.
