Known from the Yangtze and Amur basin, Lake Khanka (Ref. 13397); also from the Zhujiang River (= Pearl River) drainage of Guangdong Province (Ref. 33299). Known as "t'u-ma-ku-lin-tzu" at Tungting Lake (Ref. 35840). Also found in Beijiang River (Ref. 89718).

Known from Yunnan Chenghai; Gangxi:( Baise, Guixian, Longzhou,Ningming, Liujiang, Nanning); Jaingxi Hukou; Hubei ( Chongyang, Yichang); Hunan ( Hongjiang, Yangjiang, Changde); Sichuan ( Hechuan, Mudong); Chanxi (Ziyang, Xixiang, Yangxian); Gansu Wudou; Heilongjiang.
