Comments

Common in fresh and cool waters of all hydrographic basins of France. Inroduced in several high altitude lakes (Ref. 30578). Wide distribution in France. Less common in the mediterranean region. Under threat because of the destruction of its habitat, the deterioration of water quality and also because of predators loading (Ref. 40476).
