Known off northern Australia from Geraldton (Western Australia) to Brunswick Heads (New South Wales) (Ref. 56150). Produces 2 litters of 1-19 pups each year (mainly in February and September). Commonly trawled off northwestern Australia (Ref. 6871). Also Ref. 244, 7300, 13567.
