Type locality, Shizouka Pref., lower reaches of Oi River, KPM-NI 27293 (holotype of Luciogobius fonticola, 3.09 cm SL, male) (Ref. 86963).
Found only in the Abe and Oi River Systems entering Suruga Bay, on the Pacific coast of Shizuoka Prefecture in southern Japan. Collected from river mouth (Ref. 86963). Status of threat: Near threatened (Ref. 94887). |
