A lessepsian migrant. Known from Iskenderun. Prevalent along the entire northern Levantine coasts as far as the southern Aegean Sea. One of the most common species captured by beach seines in Iskenderun Bay, especially at depths shallower that 10m (Ref. 94602). Also Ref. 5385, 50162.
