Type locality of Urogymnus acanthobothrium, West Arm of Cambridge Gulf, Western Australia. Juveniles were recorded from the lower reaches of the Wildman and West Alligator Rivers, Northern Territory (NT), and the lower Ord River and West Arm of Cambridge Gulf, Western Australia (Ref. 110274).
