Known only from a single spring in the Guzman basin. The only known locality is Ojo Solo and a nearby drainage ditch, approximately 39 km west of Villa Ahumada, Chihuahua. Also Ref. 6376.

Status of threat: endangered; status declined since 1989. Criteria: 1,5 (http://fisc.er.usgs.gov/afs/) (Ref. 81264).
