Dorsal-fin origin slightly in front of the pelvic-fin origin; a midlateral row of 13-30 (usually 20-25) conspicuous, black blotches; a row of 14-20 mid-dorsal blotches; irregular dots on the dorsal half of the body; a conspicuous roundish black spot at the upper extremity of the caudal-fin base and a fainter one at the lower extremity; snout length 2.1-2.7 times in head length (Ref. 27732). Eye in anterior half of head; 6 diffuse bars on caudal fin (Ref. 12693). |
