Etymology: Trimma: Greek, trimma, -atos = something crushed (Ref. 45335).
Eponymy: Dr Lev Fishelson (1923–2013) was an ecologist and marine biologist at Tel-Aviv University. He was honoured for his ‘well-known’ and ‘tremendous’ contributions to the knowledge of the Red Sea, where these eponymous species are found. (Ref. 128868), visit book page.
