Diagnosis: eyes with free orbital rim; dorsal and anal fins long (69% and 55% SL, respectively) and partially fused to the caudal fin; skull short but broad, being almost as broad as long (skull width 90% skull length); external mandibular barbel of equal length as skull (Ref. 81644).
Apart from the original description nothing is known about this species (Ref. 78218).
