Dorsal spines (total): 0; Dorsal soft rays (total): 12; Anal spines: 0; Anal soft rays: 8. Head width more than 1.8 times in head length; head length less than 1.3 times in body depth; body depth more than 3.6 times in standard length; eye diameter less than 1.6 times in interorbital width; light yellowish green.

Biology     Glossary (e.g. epibenthic)

Occurs over muddy, sandy and rocky substrates all over the lake, preferably in water of less than 6 m depth. Juveniles feed on zooplankton and insects; adults take in addition small mollusks and macrophytes (Ref. 35835).
