Short description Morfología | Morfometría

Espinas dorsales (total): 0; Radios blandos dorsales (total): 7-8; Espinas anales 0; Radios blandos anales: 5 - 6. Body elongate, head rather depressed, tail compressed. Four pairs of barbels present; 3 on upper jaw and another on anterior nostril. No spine below eye. Scales rather large. No lateral line. A black longitudinal band on body of male.
