背的軟條 (總數): 100-105; 臀鰭軟條: 85 - 91; 脊椎骨: 59 - 62. Two spines on hind margin of preoperculum, 11-13 long rakers on anterior gill arch, 3-4 pseudobranchial filaments, dorsal fin with 4-5 more or less distinct dark blotches continuing into dark, vertical bars on body, posterior part of dorsal and anal fin and caudal fin dark.
在前鰓蓋骨的後緣上的二根棘 , 11-13 長的耙在前面鰓弓， 3-4個偽鰓絲狀突起 , 背鰭有 4-5 約略明顯的黑色斑塊繼續進入深色的之內, 縱帶在身體上, 較後面的部分背部的與臀鰭與尾鰭深色的。
Uncommon species (Ref. 34024). Feed on gastropods (Ref. 31524). Reproductive strategy possibly similar to other members of this family featuring oviparity, with oval pelagic eggs floating in a gelatinous mass (Ref. 205).
