Etymology: Enteromius: Greek, enteron = intestine + Greek, myo, mys = muscle (Ref. 45335); devosi: The species is named in honour of Luc (Tuur) De Vos, an outstanding Belgian ichthyologist, in recognition of his remarkable collecting efforts and scientific determination; he was the first to recognise this species as new to science (Ref. 92865).
