The males barely reach 5 cm, while the females are barely 2.5 cm in length. Breeding males are very colorful and have extended fin filaments while the female's fins are rounded (Ref. 12965). Eggs are attached to the ceiling of caves, female cares for eggs and larvae (Ref. 47893).
