Short description Morfologia | Morfometria

Spine anali 1; Raggi anali molli: 15 - 17; Vertebre: 39 - 42. This species belonging to the M. martinica species-group, is distinguished from all congeners by the following characters: anus is positioned closer to the insertion of pelvic fin than the origin of anal fin; posterior margins of predorsal and lateral scales are smooth or slightly irregular, not laciniate; the least depth of caudal peduncle 6.7-8.5% SL; total gill raker of first arch 16-20, modally 18-19 (Ref. 123107).
